Group licensing

LearningDITA group licensing provides centralized course management for teams. If you plan to enroll a group, do not let students create individual accounts. 

After a group manager creates a group, students are prompted to create accounts within the group license. If a student has already created an account, they will need to provide a different email address to the group manager for creating an account within the group.

Create a group license

Have the individual managing your organization’s training complete the following steps:  

  1. Visit store.scriptorium.com/shop 
  2. Select courses for purchase.
  3. Choose course quantity based on the number of students taking the course. If you’re unable to increase the course quantity, click on the course and select Enable group purchase.
  4. Complete the checkout process.
  5. After checkout, you’ll receive an email prompting you to Enroll students
  6. Login as prompted. You should be redirected to the Enroll students page. If you are not redirected, click here.
  7. In the Select Group drop-down menu, select the course you’d like to add students to.
  8. Select Enroll User. 
  9. Enter the student’s first name, last name, and email address. 

After you’ve added a student, they will receive an email with their course enrollment. 

First-time students

  1. Click the My Courses link in your course enrollment email. 
  2. Select Click here to log in. 
  3. Use the Forgot password? link to create your password.
  4. Click the My Courses tab to access your courses!

Enroll multiple students

If you have a large number of students to enroll, you can use a comma-separated values (CSV) file to enroll them at one time. 

The CSV file can be created in any text editor and has the form of 

First Name,Last Name,Email

For example

Tony,Stark,to********@av******.com

Captain,America,ca*************@av******.com

Black,Widow,bl*********@av******.com

  1. Visit store.scriptorium.com/enroll-students/
  2. Login as prompted. 
  3. Select a course from the Select Group drop-down.
  4. Click Enroll Multiple Users
  5. Click the Browse button and locate the CSV file you’ve created. 
  6. Click Upload

View course progress as a group manager

Managers can view student progress through the following steps:

  1. Visit store.scriptorium.com/enroll-students/
  2. Login as prompted. 
  3. Select a course from the Select Group drop-down.
  4. Find the student account you wish to check the progress of. 
  5. To the right of the student’s name and email address, click the View Progress link.

Please note: Managers will only see 0% or 100% completion. 

View course progress as a student

Students can view their course progress through the following methods:

  1. Visit LearningDITA.com 
  2. Click on the My Courses page. All your registered courses will be displayed on this page. 
  3. Each course tile will display a percentage on the tile. You will see 0% or 100% completion.

Additionally, you can view your remaining course activities. Click on the desired course. Within the course, the To Do dropdown menu to the right of the course activity will display your remaining activities.

Modify student enrollment

  1. Visit store.scriptorium.com/enroll-students/
  2. Login as prompted. 
  3. Select a course from the Select Group drop-down.
  4. Select the checkbox next to the student’s name
  5. Click the pencil icon next to Action.
  6. Update user information as needed.

Increase course quantity for group licensing

  1. Visit store.scriptorium.com/enroll-students/ 
  2. Login as prompted.  
  3. Select a course from the Select Group drop-down.
  4. Add quantity in the top of the window. 
  5. Follow checkout as normal.

Add new courses to group licensing

Follow the steps in the Group licensing section above to add new courses, but ensure you’re logged in with the same manager account. 

If you’re logged in under a different account or create a new login, this will create a new group under the alternative login. 

Remove student accounts from a group license 

  1. Visit store.scriptorium.com/enroll-students/
  2. Login as prompted.
  3. Select the course from the Select Group drop-down menu. 
  4. Select the checkbox for the user to remove.
  5. Click the trash icon in the Actions section. 

Note: If you or your student deletes their account, that course license will be removed from your group. 

Remove courses from group licensing 

If you no longer need a course, you can remove it from your group with the following steps: 

  1. Visit store.scriptorium.com/enroll-students/
  2. Login as prompted.
  3. Select the course from the Select Group drop-down menu. 
  4. Click Delete Group, and confirm deletion as prompted. This will only delete the course you selected, not all of the courses in your group license.
